The WPK Austria GmbH is an inspection and test body accredited according to EN ISO/IEC 17020 and EN ISO/IEC 17025 by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Digitalization and Business Location (BMDW).
The inspection body carries out acceptances and recurring inspections of technical installations and their components such as ropeways, hydroelectric power plants, lifts, summer toboggan runs, flying constructions, pipelines (ÖNORM B5050) and fire alarm systems (TRVB 123 S).
The test body specialises in non-destructive material testing in all relevant areas of expertise (VT, MT, UT, PT, RT, HT) as well as the accompanying quality assurance for steel construction projects and steel structures, e.g. factory acceptance tests at suppliers or the assumption of external welding supervision and welder examinations.
Our Centre for technological safety supports private and public customers in the inspection of work equipment and technical installations (in accordance with §8 AM-VO), inspects sports, play, educational and leisure facilities and takes over the safety-related supervision by a safety specialist.
In addition, WPK Austria is also an accredited test centre of the Quality Association for Water Technology (GWT) as well as a Notified Body for ropeways according to EU Regulation (EU) 2016/424
